7.Through the Blessing of Understanding

Sermon Summary (February 14, 2010)

Through the Blessing of Understanding (Proverbs 3:11-26) God rules through blessings. Even when He created all things and humankind, He commanded and sustained them through blessings. Because He still does so today (Rev 22:13), he who possesses blessings is not the empty one but he who has understanding and wisdom. What one's eyes see is not blessings but the chaff; understanding and wisdom, which are unseen, are God-ruled blessings. For this reason, God spoke and gave commandments. His commandments are, thus, called blessings (Pr 16:16). As the fullness of God's understanding and wisdom lies in His commandments (Ps 119:66), blessings and life overflow from them. Jesus is God's wisdom and understanding (Pr 19:8); the Holy Spirit is the God of wisdom, the God of understanding. ¡Û He who lacks wisdom shall rely on God; He will give it to him. ¡Û He who lacks understanding shall ask it to Jesus Christ; he will give it to him. ¡Û The Holy Spirit rules over wisdom and understanding. He operated in the past, so does he today. ¡Ø Saints, let us receive blessings. We must gain wisdom and understanding, not the visible material wealth.
